Hi everyone! It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve posted on Mood, but between the Christmas break and travelling, I haven’t had much time to log in! I want to introduce you to the new Mood. It’s much the same as the one you have become familiar with, but now it’s been reenergised and altered to suit where I am in life and will (hopefully) present a more accurate depiction of my inspiration, fashion, art and travels. Life is about learning and growth, it’s about time Mood showed that.
A reason for my lack of posting isn’t only due to the Christmas break, but also because I have been collecting inspiration and ideas to formulate a strong direction for the blog. For so long I have felt that I blended into the sea of bloggers, focusing on minimalism, lack of colour and lack of definition. I lived my life through a lens that was later edited to take the life out of my photos. I lived as if colour was a nuisance and that I lived a life of the upmost organisation and order. When I compared my photos to another bloggers, I noticed more similarities than I would like to admit,
Then I realised ‘I get this girl confused with that other girl’.
To be honest with you, I live a life of organised chaos, I don’t always have the perfect background for my outfits, my outfits aren’t usually planned, I’m always running late, I make last minute decisions, I make a lot of wrong decisions, I work a lot, I don’t sleep enough, I sleep too much, I don’t live a curated life. So why should I have a curated blog?
I created Mood as an outlet for an otherwise dry working life as working in an office and studying didn’t allow for much creativity. Thus, the birth of Mood! I’ve been stuck in a rut for so long, and I wasn’t able to showcase my life the way I had always envisioned.
Moving forward, the revamp of Mood will include more beauty, fashion, inspiration, mood boards, interior design, travel and art. It will depict my moods, thoughts and intentions. I hope you will like the content and thank you for following me this far.
